What deletion does
Deleting your account permanently removes all your data from our systems. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.
The following is deleted:
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- All year assessments and entries (categories, amounts, descriptions, dates)
- All receipt photos stored in your account
- Your display name and any other profile data
What is not deleted
- App Store / Play Store subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google. Deleting your app account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it separately through your App Store or Play Store account.
- Anonymized purchase records may be retained by our payment processors (Apple, Google, RevenueCat) as required by law for tax and fraud prevention purposes. These records do not contain your personal data.
- Support emails you have sent us may be retained in our email inbox for up to 12 months.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app:
- Open Simplest Tax Relief Tracker
- Go to Settings (bottom navigation)
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion and re-enter your credentials when prompted
Your account and all data are deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, send us an email and we will delete your account on your behalf.
Include the email address you signed up with so we can locate your account. We'll process your request within 7 days and reply once deletion is complete.
Before you delete
If you have receipts or entries you may need later (for example for an LHDN audit), we recommend exporting them as a PDF first:
- Open the app → Settings
- Tap Export Summary
- Choose the year and export format
- Save the exported file somewhere safe
